What we learned improving field data quality
Better field data came from shorter forms, clearer consent language, and feedback loops volunteers could actually use.
The biggest data-quality improvements did not come from more fields or stricter dashboards. They came from shortening forms, translating consent prompts into everyday language, and showing volunteers how the data helped supervisors solve real bottlenecks.
When frontline teams can see the purpose of a question, they answer more carefully. When forms match the rhythm of field work, records become more reliable.
