Missing Kids Ghana is a verified, child-safe coordination platform under Faciotech Foundation for public missing-child notices, private sightings, regional NGO review, police access, and stakeholder coordination. It complements the work of the Ghana Police Service and never impersonates it: decisions about official public alerts remain police-controlled.
The platform separates what the public can see from what caseworkers handle. The public can browse verified notices, report a missing child, and submit a sighting discreetly, while review, verification, and case updates sit behind role-based access for partner organisations and police. A family portal, a correction and redaction route, and explicit privacy and consent rules are built into the service rather than added afterwards.
Safety guidance is published alongside every workflow: contact police immediately where a child may be in danger, never wait 24 hours to report a child missing, do not approach or confront anyone, submit sightings discreetly, and stop resharing old notices once a child is recovered.
The pilot is being delivered with Necessary Aid Alliance as implementation partner. It is not yet open to the public: launch depends on legal review, data-protection registration, and safeguarding sign-off rather than on remaining development work.
