Women in Tech Fellowship

A six-month fellowship providing women and girls with mentorship, technical training, and startup support to launch careers and ventures in technology.

Accra, Ghana

The Women in Tech Fellowship addresses the persistent gender gap in Ghana's technology sector by providing an intensive, supportive pathway for women and girls aged 16-35. Fellows receive weekly technical training sessions (UI/UX design, front-end development, or data analytics), one-on-one mentorship from women in the industry, and access to co-working space and equipment.

The fellowship culminates in a Demo Day where participants present portfolio projects or startup prototypes to a panel of employers, investors, and community leaders. Fellows who demonstrate exceptional potential receive seed grants of up to GHS 5,000 to launch or grow their ventures.

Over three cohorts, 126 women have graduated from the fellowship. Graduates have secured positions at local tech companies, launched freelance practices, and started seven new businesses. The program is expanding to Kumasi and Takoradi in 2026 with support from corporate sponsors.
